Become an Ambassador

A Girls Go Government ambassador serves as a representative and advocate for our organization within their school community. Their initial role is to collaborate with the national executive team to establish an affiliated chapter at their school.

Once a chapter is officially approved, the ambassador(s) transition into executive roles within their school’s club while continuing to serve as ambassadors to the national organization.

After a chapter is established, ambassadors take on various responsibilities in addition to their respective elected position roles, including:

  • Assisting the national executive team in planning and organizing events

  • Sharing promotional graphics and information with target audiences.

  • Wearing branded merchandise to increase visibility and engagement.

  • Participating in the Ambassador’s Council.

College Involvement

Are you passionate about empowering young women and exploring careers in government? Get involved with Girls Go Government at the collegiate level! There are three ways to participate—college ambassadors and members have similar roles to their high school counterparts but with added responsibilities. Additionally, college students can serve as executive members of the national GGG team.

National Executive Officer

College students can take on a leadership role in Girls Go Government by becoming a National Executive Officer. In a national position, you’ll play a key role in shaping the direction and impact of GGG as a whole. You will also help develop programs, expand outreach, and guide the organization’s growth. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leading a nonprofit, working on strategic initiatives, and making a lasting impact on young women interested in government careers.

Collegiate Ambassadors

As a Collegiate Ambassador, you'll take on greater responsibility and influence, particularly within your designated region. Your role includes supporting and guiding high school clubs as a regional advisor while leading leadership development and civic engagement efforts across the entire region. Like our high school members, we’ll assist you with all necessary paperwork, including drafting constitutions and bylaws, to help high school chapters establish and operate smoothly. Additionally, collegiate ambassadors have the opportunity to apply as National Executive Officers to help shape GGG’s overall direction and growth. You can also participate in our mentorship program, where you’ll engage directly with high school members, providing guidance and support as they explore careers in government.

Programs

Project Point Blank Period

Project Point Blank Period allows members the opportunity to work toward ending period poverty in their school, community, and state. Members will have the opportunity to work with the national executive team to host menstrual product drives or collections, package period packs or bins, and distribute them to areas in need.

Politics and Pastries

Politics and Pastries aims to foster constructive dialogue in a time when partisanship and communication across the aisle are increasingly challenging. It provides the opportunity for young women from various backgrounds to come together and connect with their peers and community members to discuss their thoughts and opinions on current events and politics.

Girls Go Vote

Girls Go Vote is designed to educate and empower members on voter registration and to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to help others in the voting process. Participants will attend information sessions on voter registration and take part in various events to assist and educate community members about registration.

See the program calendar below for our schedule. Be sure to check the description on the calendar for important information, such as registration and locations.
