About Us
Goal | Mission | Action
Girls Go Government! is an organization dedicated to narrowing the gender gap in government involvement by empowering young women in high school to explore a wide range of careers within and around government.

Our mission is to inspire and educate young women about government or related opportunities, spanning from local to state levels. Through engaging workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs, Girls Go Government! aims to create a supportive environment where girls can explore their interests while actively engaging in their communities and growing as leaders.

Join us on this transformative journey as Girls Go Government! paves the way for girls to become confident, informed, and influential leaders in government and beyond. Together, we can break barriers, shatter stereotypes, and create a future where every girl feels empowered to make a difference in the world of politics and governance.
Our Story
Girls Go Government! was founded in 2024 by Katie Noble with the help of her friend and peer, Megan Forrestal. While serving as President of the Women in Public Policy club she established at UNC, Katie identified a gap in opportunities for young women not yet in college who are interested in government-related careers. To address this, Katie decided to create GGG!, and with Megan's help, the initial ideas for the organization came about in early 2024. With GGG!, Katie and Megan hope to break engagement barriers by educating high school-aged women about potential career options in or related to the government while teaching them how to grow as leaders and community members.
